Dear Sir: For inclusion in the fund to be paid to the widow or designated beneficiary of any Special Agent of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, United States Department of Justice, who had contributed to this fund subsequent to April 15, 1944, and who dies from any cause sxcept self-destruction while employed as a Special Agent, I am forward- ing herewith (bY CHECK - MONEY ORDER) the eum of ten dollars (§10.00), made payable to the Chief Clerk of said Bureau, to be included in said fund. Payment will be made for death by self-destruction after the Agent has been a member of the fund for two years. It ie understood and agreed that the sum tendered herewith ig a voluntary, gratuitous contribution to said fund, which I understand i# to be adainistered in the following manner: The Director of the Bureau will appoint a committee which shall consider all matters pertaining to the acquisition, safe keeping and expending of said fund, which compittee will recommend appropriate action to the Director of the Bureau in pertinent matters. The Chief Clerk of said Bureau shall receive all contributions and aocount for same to the Director. Upon the death of any Special Agent, the appointed committee will consider the case and submit a recommendation to the Director as to it#e conclusione.
