Lr. J. Edgar Hoover
Director, Bureau of Investigation
washington, D. C,.
Dear John Hoover:
That was a great talk you made over the radio last night
during The harch of Time program ... and I note in the
morning paper that you are about to be honored with a
Congressional hedal for your brilliant work.
It seems to me, however, that the greatest medal you will
ever receive will be the deep thanks of the American
people who, at long last, have come to realize what John
Hoover has been doing for the past few years and what your
great bureau means to the people e
My cordial regards as alwafs, ~~

P.S. Incidentally, just to keep this on the record, I am
sending a copy of this note to our mutual friend, Brother
