Dear Sir: In accordance with ftustructions furnished the Salt Leke City office by the Director, Agent in Charge W. A. Rorer, and Special Agent Val C. Zimmer personally met the Attorney General Homer S. Cummings, at his train upon his errival in Salt Lake City at 6 A.M. September 1, 1956. He wan ferrediately offered the services of the personne] of the Selt Leke City Bureau office, and etated thet he desired agents to mest him at hie hotel at 10 A.M. as he would like to visit the PBI offices end thofe of the U.5. Marshal and the U.S. Attorney. Agents Rorer and Zimmer met the Attorney General at 20 A.M. and accompanied his to the offices af the 0.5. Marehal ana the 0.5. Attorney where be Wes introduced, He was Biso accompanied to the office of the U.S. Collector of Customs and , to the office of Knox Fatterson, Specie] Assistant to the Attorney -¢ General located in the Futee Building, Satt Leke City, Utek. “fs was then brought t the FEI offices anf wes int@mduced to the vice- president of the Goatisentel Betional Henk, Continental Benk Buildiag, who wae at the offices. He remained at the offices approximately forty minutes, and received a telegram over the ‘phone at the office. He occupied the desk of the Agent in harge for & sonsiderable part of the tims, and Aiscusesdé the work of the Bureau with the agents, with Mr. Culbertson and witt Knox Petterson, He stressed the Bureau's efficiency to those present. He erédited the Director with phenomenal success end was told by the agents that the Director constantly celled _._._.... to the attention of the Special Agents, that the progress of of the Attorney General, and he replied jokingly that he and the Director kad am agreement whereby each praised one another, Ee was shown the offices throughout and inspected eack roc. After leaving the Bureau effices he wes taken for ar hours ride sround Salt Leke City, observing the places of in- terest, being eccompaniod by agente Rorer and Zimmer.
