April 21, 1942 U REPORT OF TELEPHONE CA Time 1:50 Al Mir, Mooreland of the state Department called to transmit three messages from Rio de Janiero, Brazil. One of these messages was marked ~_— "Rush®. Because it was the first message to be received in this section from there so marked, kr. Carson was called at home and advised. He directed that the message be immediately sent to Technical Laboratory for decoding. ir. Blaine of the Laboratory advised that after decoding the message he called Mir, Carson at home and read it to him. The decoded messages are being held in the Laboratory until morning. 1:55 AM A Lr. Chambers called to make a report. He was referred to Mr. Nelson, the Midnight Supervisor. 3235 AX Captain Renton of G-2 called with some information and talked to Mr. Nelson. 5:40 Al Captain Renton calied again and talked te Mr, Nelson who in turn referred him to kr.
