the dealer recognized him, Mr. Hoover, and told him that there Was a magazine
on the stand to which he, Mr. Hoover, had contributed. Mr. Quinn stated that
the article had not been authorized by the Bureau and that the speech as quoted
was misrepresenting as only excerpts and portions of sentences were used. ir.
Quinn stated that he had requested Mr. Keith to immediately advise the Bureau
by wire upon conclusion of the interview with the publisher. Mr. Hoover re-
quested that the matter be followed up tomorrow (February 2%).
Mr. Hoover stated that if the weather was not bad he would be fish-
ing tomorrow morning and would not call in until about noon or later, unless
he came ashore earlier because of good luck.
