She stated they had discussed the racial situation and she had advised the unknown colored boy that she was against the proposed freedom ride on route 40. SUBJECT: During the course of their conversation the colored boy, who has refused to furnish his name to QAM told her there was a big rally at the Rhode Island Plaza (exact location of which was unknown to ¢yxo:! ees being conducted by an integrationist group who planned for the freedom rides 11/1/61, on route 40. The young colored boy invited to attend the rally to present her views against the proposed ride stating that she might be influential in dissuading the group from conducting such a ride. stated that she telephoned her apartment to let encyer | t w where she would be and in the meantime the colored boy left. pe she felt the Bureau should know about the proposed VA 4 e a meeting.
