who was reluctant to furnish his identity, called
at 1:00 a.m. 11/9/61. He claimed knowledge of crime conditions in
Minneapolis area during last 15 years and requested FBI Officials
extend him full cooperation in cleaning it up. When asked if he had
previously contacted the Minneapolis FBI Office or local police
authorities concerning this matter, he said he had, but had found all
authorities contacted, including Minneapolis FBI Agents, amateurs
who didn't know how to investigate crime. He was challenged on this
point and then told that Minneapolis FBI Office would accept and
properly handle any worthwhile information he could furnish.
