Dear Sir: -
7 Z-| As a matter of human interest, I thought the Bureau might like to
know that this office received a telephone call on June 14, 1944, from uss
of New York City, and i
) New Yor ty, both of whom are twelve years of age,
expressing their admiration for the FBI and offering their assistance in any
way possible.
. The telephone call was received by Special agent Edward M. Lane
who advised that the little girls, in childish voices, admitted that they
7 were only twelve years of age but said that they "liked the FBI very, very
ce | ~ much". They expressed the hope that they not be regarded aa "silly? for
" = “... calling and stated they simply wanted us to know they would be willing to do
oo ; any little job they could if the FBI had one for them. ‘They said they did not
eS “~. desire any pay for their services. They further said that any job assigned
to them would have to be a little job because they were "little girls",
