I5 SION ere me = = ee re eee — I refer to Bureau letter of June 29, 1949, on the above subject mater. ; , On numerous occasions since the Bureau discontinued radio con. munication with the I.C.P.C. network, 1. DUCLEUX, Cecretary Genaral, as well as li. LO CARE, President, have wade incuiries as to whether the Tureau would be able to re-establish radio commnications with the fr- Comission. PN ener ge During my recent trip to “Jrussels with . ‘esistant ittorney feneral !ORTSON, Mr. LOU JAGN apain broached the subject » and recuested nm to arain urre the Jureau to consider rejoining the I.7.?.C. radio network, and if posible to do so prior to the “eneral Assenbly meetings to be held in "ern, Switzerland, next Cetober. I have been advised that although there is now comaratively littie comercial cable traffic between I.C.P.C, headauarters and the Bureau, they have had to resort to air mail for economy reasons, and have also pointed out that the Bureau is now missing out on daily reneral broadcasts to all members of the radio network. They fecl that the nunber ef comaunications that would be exchanved with the jurcan if facilities were made available, would well justify itself. . ~ In connection with the use of corvercial cables, the I.C.P.C. yj has alse reruested for the sale of economy and efficiency, that the ’3ureau repister the code word "INTHU CL" as the telegraphic address of the Bureau. ..
