BS 1000-35505 The "Broekton Enterprise" in its edition of November 20, 1967, contained the following advertisement ) which reads as follows: iC "THE NEW JERUSALEM CHURCH Announces THAT IT IS NOT RESPONSIBLE for the advertising appearing in Saturdays Enterprise for a meeting _ to be held at the church on Tuesday, Nov. 21, where Professor Howard Zinn would ‘express his opposition to the war, and be questioned by Brockton area student editors and leaders.' &) THIS MEETING WILL NOT BE HELD AT THE ASA A RR OI IED <A RED AEA A EY EP SO RD A EY SN The New York "Daily News", a daily newspaper published at New York City, New York, in its edition of December 1, 1967, contained the following featured article captioned "Defection of the 4: Call From Japan to U. S. Prof", This article reads in part as follows: CH "Shortly after four young American sailors went absent from their aircraft carrier, the Intrepid, anchored in Japanese waters, Prof. Howard Zinn received a telephone call in Boston. (u) "It was from a member of the Japanese peace move- _ment known as Beheiren. The caller said that the four “yailers had approached Beheiren asking for help. Could Zinn suggest the name of a representative of the U. S. peace movement who would be willing to travel to Tokyo to act as an observer in the case? ()
