“we are trembling from the attacks of neadlines and commentators,
We are the victims of an outrageous carpaign to create fear.
The camaign has been nlanred br men who kno~ the planning art - by
military men and big business men. |
| They are attenpting to frishten us into united sunvort of
their efforts to militarize america and completely do-inate our
economy, as they extend the influence of private imerican interests
all over the world. |
They have already frightened millions upon millions of our
fellow citizens into silence. They have made it dangerous to talk
back. They have »roucht us to the stage vhere many peovle are
afraid to voice their honest convictions for fear of losing their
jobs. In such an atrosnhere the very foun’ations of our democracy
are envangered, anid I want to reneat today what I have said many -
