WALLACE declared that he was not @ radical but was a liberal, He stated that he was frequently accused of being a radical and he was tired of good people being called Communists—that Commmism ‘does not deserve that much credit. stated that we had nothing to fear from Communism in this country unless there would be a severe depression. He accused ‘the United States of following the pattern of the early Hitler era and said the Un-American Committee is a key part of the gigantic conspiracy against the American people.
