I NAZISM (national « Socialism) and COMMUNISM
are the same breed of cats. All three are forms of
Socialism and Marx used the terms Socialism and Com-
munism interchangeably. Communism represents merely

For some years the SOCIALISTS have tried to dis-
sociate themselves from the Communists and both have
disclaimed any kinshi FASCISM. BUT THEY DIF-
FER IN DEGREE AND NAME ONLY, FOR A COM-
MUNIST TO CALL HIS OPPONENT A “FASCIST” AS
‘A SMEAR WORD IS THE POT CALLING THE KET-
TE WORD Fascism stems from the Latin, “fasces,”
meaning the bundle of rods with an ax which was
symbolic .of authority. in’ ancient Rome. The Fascism of
= modern Rome represents the syndicaljst branch of So-
cialism. The word syndicalism stems from the French
word for trades union—“syndica ” ne -
_ Syndicalism, was PROLETARIAN SOCIALISM in its
purest form. It was the Socialism of the working class as
opposed to the Socialism of the intelligentsia, in Ger-
many, or the Socialism of the aristocratic anarchists, in
Czarist Russia. (Soviet Socialism is a combination of these
