It was further ascertained that the mnifest for this flight is
presently filed at the Transcontinental Service Office, 112 West Ninth Street,
Kansas City, Missouri. Thie manifest would contain any additional information
concerning EISLER, such as his New York contact point (if any supplied), number
of bags, etc.
By teletype of July 10, 1947, the Kansas City Office was requested
t obtain this information and sco advise the office of crigins
Additional information was obtained relative to the subject of
instant investigation as the result of a number of interviews held with various
iniividuals in the New York Office. This information and the name of the person
furnishing same is being set forth below.
HEDWIG MASSING
This individual is known to have been a former Soviet Agent and
was at one time the wife of subject's brother, GERHART EISLER. She reported that
she naturally kmew HANNS EISLER and said that he used to visit her and her husband,
PAUL MASSING, at their farm in Quakerstown, Pennsylvania. During these visits,
she continued, HANNS would become anti-Soviet in his opinions. However, as soon
