The Young Comrade who was impr ressed this unrest told the four agitators that the time was ripe for revolution: and that he intended to leave the people in a revolt which would start with an attack on the City Hall. The Young Comrade explained that the leader of the unemployed group was a genuine socislist and that the unemployed had accepted the teachings of the Communists. They told the Young Comrade further that they knew that the gerrison at Mukden bad been *~ ~ strengthened and thet therefore, an attempted revolution would fail. ~ The Young Comrade would not be convinced, however, stating that he could wait no longer for revolution because the misery of the people demanded it. The four agitators indicate that the Commmista are hot’in. favor of helping every miserable person but are interested in organizing a truly . guocessful revolution. The Young Comrade thereupon breake with the four -— agitators, tearing off his disguise. When he heard the thunder of cannons» Jhowevery he realized his mistake and tied with the four egitators. ‘i a , a we rs the last scene, the four agitators decide on the’ proper measure to take in the aitical aituation in which they found themselves. ' {hey were being pursued by the authorities end were in danger of being” = “found out because the identity of the Young Comrade wea then known. They . ~ therefore, decided that the Young Comrade would have to die and his body would have to be destroyed in order to aave the movement. - The Young Comrade by that time sees his mistake and oonsents to being killed. He is shot and thrown into a lime pit where his body is destroyed. The Four Agitators then return to their work which was successful. -4<
