FBI investigations of crimes on Governz,ent
and Indian reservations resulted in 1,874 con-
victions and the location of 874 fugitives during
Fiscal 1975.
The FBI solved a number of heinous crimes
including murders which took place on Govern-
ment reservations. One such case investigated
by the FBI's Alexandria Oftice concerned a hom-
icide of a Department of Avriculture female em-
ployee whose body wus found in February, 1974,
on 2 ailitary base in Virginia, Extensive, ins.
vestigation by the FBI disclosed the identiéy of
the two individuals involved. These men #ere
arrested for this crime, pleaded guilty, and Were
sentenced to the Federal penitentiary.
