SAN FRANCISCO—A stern fecler-
ai judge Friday refused to release Pa-
tricia Hearst on hail immediateiy,
saying the newenaner heiress had an-
nounced “to the world” her revolu-
tionary intention—and had “pune-
tuated it hy gunfire.”
