JOHN (JACK) SCOTT .
Jack Scott is 35 or 36 years of age, having .
been born and raised in Scranton, Pennsylvania. He was
educated in the Scranton Schools, first at Central and >
then at West High School where he graduated in 1959.
In High School he excelled in track events as a runner.
Re entered Villanova University where he
stayed for only a short period of time. He transferred
first to Stanford and then to Syracuse University where. -~
he graduated, .: During his collegiate years,-he met Micki-: -
McGee.to whom he is married.-- They have no children.” -.
While he did not distinguish himself in sports in College,- =
he evidenced a very active interest in sports. After his
College career, he became the Sports Director at Oberlin
College in Ohio. His tenure at Oberlin was marked with
disagreement with the school administration which resulted .
in his employment being terminated.. Oberlin "purchased ~
back" his contract for a figure reported to be around
$30,000.00. — ; ,
Jack Scott has written extensively on sports
considering himself as a "sports activist" challenging
several aspects of organized sports. He now resides in
Portland, Oregon with his wife Micki.
Personal observation reveals no physical handi-
caps; in fact, he is reported to be an avid jogger.
