GENERAL INVESTIGA®-VE DIVISION & HEARNAP —®@ RY . Attached summarizes current fugitive and harboring investigation in this case. Initial interviews of ees ‘ f and harboring:-.suspects Jonn and Louise Scott, Las Vegas, Nevdqda, restated. U. S$. Attorney, San Francisco, sonsulted and has initiated request for Departmental approval régarding grant of immunity for John Scott related totpossible violations of Harboring and/or Misprison of Felony Statutes. He is scheduled to testify before Federal Grand Jury (FGJ), San Francisco, 3/6/75. Scott reinterviewed 2/28/75, and advised he will appear before FGJ and does not plan to plead Fifth amendment since he has "nothing to hide." Department being advised. Newark Office attempted to reinterview suspect Philip Kent Shinnick with negative results. Seattle Office secured fingerprints of Shinnick's right hand (only available) through military records and Identification Division is comparing them with remaining unidentified latents from Honesdale, Pa., farm site. Surveillance of Jack Scott from Las Vegas, Nevada, to Berkeley, California, via San Diego, California, 2/26-27/75, outlined. His present whereabouts remains unknown.
