LEWIS is a student at the Hooper Avenue Elementary School, 1225 East 52nd Street, Los Angeles, California. LEWIS was intervieved at the school in the office of Assistant Prin- cipal HASTY ARNOLD who remained present throughout this interview, , LEWIS voluntarily furnished the following information: On Friday, May 17, 1974, LEWIS left. school at approximately 1:30 D.m., and went to his mother's home at 1466 East Sith Street, Los Angeles, California, When he arrived at the residence he noticed there were several individuals present whom he dig not knov., Upon entering the residence he was mer - by a Negro inale wearing a dark blue beret hat. Another child was there whom he Gid not know. This child whispered to LEWIS that the Negro male was DONALD DAVID DEFREFZE, DEFRENZE offered LEWIS $1.00 and told LEYIS he could not. go outside at this time. DEFPNEEZE asked LEVIS, “You know ‘T's a crook don't you?" . LEWIS remained in the house and observed DEFREEZE walking around in the front room in a nervous fashion hitting the pockets of his pants with his hands. At the same time a white isan with a shotgun was stonding to the side of the front window near the door and peeking out of the curtains, He also was wearing a dark blue beret type hat. LEWIS stated he then went to the bathroom.
