JOHNSON recalled that she went into the bedroom
ane upon returning to the livingroom a few minutes Later,
observed the Nesro mele and a Caucasian male and four
Caucasian females carrying bass. and what appeared to be
"guitar" cases into the livingroom. She did not observe
any of the peonle enter the residence and does not know
who aamitted them.
JOHNSON said that at that time she left the
residence to walk her dog and proceeced east on S4th Street
to Compton Avenuc, then north toward 52nd Street. She said
that as she passed 5 record shop loceted on Compton Avenue
she observed the Negro male just Leaving a van, no further

at a vacant apartment on test 5eand Street near Compton
fAvenuc, She seid a3 she wolked northbound with the Gog,
the Negro male came southbound on Compton Averue on foot and
returned to her residence, 1466 East 54th Street.
, She sei¢ she returned to her residence a fer minutes
later anc upon entering the house observed that the Negro male
and the five others accompanying him were tn the kitchen end
all vere carrying weapons whieh they vere removing from the
begs and cases. She said thet each of the persons was wearing
@ belt with a hunting ttnife and several of the people hac
cartridge belts around their waists anc over their shoulders,
She recelled at least one of the pcople having whet appeared
to be a mechine gun with a Lonz barrel and observed the Negro
male to be wearing a holster with e pistol,
She stuted one of the females was carrying what
appeared to be two six inch bottles wrapped with adhesive tape
and observed the woman to handle the containers very tencgerly
the vay a person would carry explosives.’
. _ JOHNSON said she did not listen to the conversations
of the group, but recalles that they all huddled topetner in
the kitchen, apporently in a confercnee, She seid that inas-
much as the time was 7:30 9.m., and the ehildren wovls -non be.
getting up, she asked the group if they vould put the Lo away.
