Me FO-302 MEV, 11-27-70) ve . ft . 2 Ret oe FEDERAL pigtall OF INVESTIGATION s . . . : Bote of tronacsiption Ma 21 1 97 4 . : ; jeved at her | . residence, California, and acknowledged at the onse nversation that she was avare of the Agent's identity ‘from previous meetings. She ‘thereafter provided the following: ‘ (She was in tears and had been visibly crying for some time. She was having coffee in her kitchen.) She does not know, nor has she ever known, the whereabouts of members of the Symbionese Liberation Army (SLA). She has not acted in a support capacity for the SLA. . She feels responsible for the SLA members who died in Los Angeles last week and yet knows that there was nothing that she could do as an individual to change the course of events. She feels responsible in the sense that she feels everyone is responsible, as society created the conditions which led these individuals to take such a drastic step and commit their lives to an effort to change socicty. The police must have done what they had to do, though she wishes they would have permitted the fire department to move into the area sooner. The situation could not have turned out differently given the attitude of the individuals involved. They had resolved to die in the end, and had accepted that death vould be the result of their actions. They did not expect to live and tell their story, but were committed to the apparent relief that through their actions a change more dramatic than through writing could be wrought. CAMILLA HALL seemed to have a fierce dedication. While ae ::: not seen her since joining the SLA, QQ feit rom newspaper reports of the SLA activaties and from her previous friendship with CANILL*’ HALL that HALL had made up her mind that she was ready to die when she joined the SLA. At that point CAMILLA was prepared to die and knew that she would die. —_— ~ latgrviewed on__9/ 20/74 » San Francisco, Califernia,,,, SF 7-855 + bn eee iis paw enous 520/74 _- 310 i.
