At that time she advised nim that she was going to be on the cover of TV Guide for 6/8-14/74. She told that she was a little concérned that SAC BATES might be upset by the article about { her. She told that the article was written by TV Guide newsmen and that she di see the finished product until } after it was printed. inguired as to why she was concerned and she gave h a copy of the TV Guide and the article about her. The headline quote on the article is _"I Wish We Had That Broad's Connections,” CHARLES BATES, + FBI Agent. At the end of the article it says in a newspaper _ interview SAC BATES paid MARILYN BAKER the ultimate tribute, ; "J wish to God we had that broad's connections." BAKER told that she had never heard these quotes from me. She 7 $ald she was going to be out of town but did leave the copy ,, , _ of the article. }- Dy MAS . This article is mainly sthbge about how BAKER solved the entire HEARST case ahead of law enforcement.
