DESTES related that-he returned to O'DAY’s home with the luggage

at approximately 2350-pom. He said thes they stopped briefly for O°DAY to make

Highway 40. - He recalled they made stopz at the corner of Lindbergh and Clayton
Avanzes for food and gascline and -continasd towards St. Jomeph. He said that
and at Sewet Springs, Misacuri, where they procured foot and gasoline. They
departed from Sweet Springs at approximately 8:00 p.m.,; and arrived at a
reetaurant on the outskirts of Kansas City, from which point O'DAY-made a
hotel reservation at the Muehibach Hotel in Kansas City. They thereafter
proseeded to downtown Kanaas City, where he dropped O'DAY at the hotel.
He remarked that during the journey O'DAY had indicated to him that
she had beso on a three day bendsr and had stayed with a man at the Coral
Courta Motel in St. Louie. She remarked that she had lost her luggege ,
