A review of the Communist Farty indices in this office reflects the
following information on the above. .
A confidential informant, @MMMB on spril 9, 1943, reoorted that

Confidential Informant @SREEB on November 9, 1943, reported that an
individual believed to be @MMMENNEMB, then an official of the San Francisco
Chapter of the Lawyers Guild, requested to work on a sub-
committee of the guild which was to work out a srogram for the District
Attorney's Office in connection with the war activities, and which was working
undoubtedly toward getting 2DMUND BROWN, the District. Attorney, into the
Lawyers Guild. aD 2: that time suggested that his partner,
would be a better man to work on such a conmittee because he was
close to PRONN and had been instrumental in getting a bloc of votes’ for
BRC’MN in the election.
