Mulbar of the Michigan State Police called At ~ this Office today and informed me that he was investigating the0Grani Haven, Michigan, bank robbery. He stated that he had received information from Te# Bentz to the effect that FatherfCoughlan was associated with the iniividuals who robbed the bank at Grand Haven and he desired to know the address of Kr. Coughlan. The address as it is known to the Chicago Office was furnished to hin. While here he stated that Father Coughlan was at. one time reprimanded by his church for his associations with the members of thefTouhy gang. He stated that he interviewed Father Coughlan about a year ago about this and Father Coughlan informed him that he had been so reprimanded, but that his associations with the Touhy gang were of a spiritual nature. entirely.
