As you know better than we, the defense cof an inmate
charged with an in-prison offense is a difficult one. The
attorneys for John Clutcherte, Fleeta Drumgo and George
Jackson -- charged with the murder of John Mills on Janu-
ary 16, 1970 -- have been searching for ways to protect
the inmates of Y wing so that all of the available testimony
concerning that matter may be presented to the trial court
in the Soledad Brothers trial.
