Also as I told you this communication was in printed form and bore the names of some 25 or 30 people who were supposed to have been POWs in the Philippines. However, I did not recognize any of the names printed on the bottom of this communication. However, if the thought I gave you has uncovered such an organization I'm very glad I mentioned it, At the time I received this commnication I thought someone was playing a Practical joke on mee ; The threat contained therein was "should General MacArthur be elected, the organization would do it's best to see that he never took oath of office,” and asked that I agree to assist them. I never wrote or in anyway contacted anyone concerned. There were several other former POWs on duty in the same district, however, I. know of any one, other than myself, who did get one. I ‘repeat here that I cannot swear to any name thereon. Nor can I say from where it came, as there was no heading on the commnication. . Iam sorry that I did not have presence of mind enough to forward this to the War Department G-2 at the time.
