The Attorney General
NOTE: In referenced memorandum, the Criminal Division
advised that Sinatra is currently the subject ef an investiga-
tion being conducted by the Internal Revenue Service and made
request for information regarding possible electronic surveillance
coverage of Sinatra. A review of appropriate records revealed
that though Sinatra was present at Puccini*’s Restaurant during
March 26, 1962, where the Miami Office was maintaining microphone
coverage, Sinatra's voice was not monitored nor..was.be.known. to,
be present at conversation covered by the microphone source,
This letter furnishes information along these lines in response
to the inquiry from the Criminal Division.
