Frank Sinatra was scheduled to sake thres appearances at

élection campaign, one of which had been arranged by the Communist
aanincimes Political Association for November 1, 1944. However, Sinatra did
ay not appear at this meeting. No reason was given for his absence by
. members of the Party, but they were considerably agitated because he
did not attend.

On December 12, 1945, the Philadelphia Office advised that
«tet Frank Sinatra is a member of the Communist Party. The
informant added that he was informed that Sinatra formerly held
membership in the American Youth for Democracy organisation in
New Jersey "but has recently been admitted to the New York Branch
of the Communist Party’. RSA
