WILLIAM RUSSELL MATIX, ET AL High School at Yuma, Arizona, in 1972. He was an accomplished athlete in the games of football, basketball and baseball. Immediately after graduation PLATT joined the United States Arny, taking his basic training at Fort Ord, California. While in Amry basic training, PLATT applied for U.S. Army Airborne Ranger Training, and subsequently entered Paratrooper Air Assault School at Fort Campbell, K bad mn completion of jump schoo WaS ass the Military Police Unit at that facility, and it was in this duty assignment that he met, and served in the same unit with WILLIAM RUSSELL MATIX. PLATT also met his first wife, REGINA LYLEN while stationed at Fort Campbell, Kentucky, and they were married on October 31, 1975. When PLATT went to Korea in 1977, his wife REGINA remained stateside while he served approximately one year at Cam Kit wk, three mile 38th parallel. When MICHAEL PLATT returned from assignment in Korea, he lived with his wife REG two bedroom house in Monterey, California. Son as born during £7t. this time.
