Michael Lee Platt led an uneventful childhood, being
the son of career military U. S. Navy Petty Officer (Corpsman),
Michael Platt lived in the city of his birth,
; Salifornia, until approximately 1965, at which time
his father was transferred to Pear lee etiae ti. and assigned h
duty on a hospital ship. In 1966, was reassigned to bie
the Naval Air Station, Alameda, caMeene ana the family lived
there for approximatel months. In 1977, the family moved to
Yuma, Arizona, where was stationed until his
retirement from the Uvs. . ichael Platt graduated from
KOFA High School at Yuma, Arizona, in 1972. He was an
accomplished athlete in the games of football, basketball and
baseball. Immediately after graduation, Platt joined the U. 5S.
Army, taking his basic training at Fort Ord, California.

William Russell Matix. Platt also met his first wife, Regina
