Peace and an end to all mili- tary adventures in other peoples countries is America's first order of business. FREEDOM The PEACE AND FREEDOM PARTY supports the black liberation movement in its struggle for social justice and control of local communities, ‘“e support similar movements among Hawaiians ana other local minorities, and nation- — ally among Mexican-Americans, Indians, Puerto Ricans and other oppressed peoples. Honolulu's present "growth" is still a disease of pro~ fit-seekers. Hawaii's land omership is feudalistic and a means of don- ination by the wealthy. The PEACE AND FREEDOM PARTY raises these demands toward radical renewal of urban life: & Abolishment of absentee slum ownership. % Replacement of corrupt city-hall domination of urban affairs with local controls, residents' councils and decentralized community power. & Lemocratize land ownership and limit size of holdings, * Terni nate all further high-rise construction pending formulation of life-style demands by the psople. % Replace developer—orientea state land policies with conservationist policies. —— .
