On 3/14/58, QB advised that according to the
ininites of £ Young Seatalist League, National Administrative oo
Committee meeting on 3/3/58, in New York City, it was
reported that sympathizers of the Young Socialist League
(YSL) had founded a broad group, the George Orwell Club
at Yale University. According to this information, 107
people attended its first meeting and 16 new people joined
the Orwell group.
An article appeared in the YALE DAILY NEWS, a daily Yale
University campus newspaper, New Haven, Conn., Page 1 and
Page 8, entitled "'Puerto Rican Problem’ Discussed, at 2
Orwell Forum", This article reported that one DAN-ATAKEFIELD
of "fhe Nation" magazine had addressed a George Orwell
ef Forum (GOF) meeting concerning the “Spanish Harlem" problem
