On January 10, 1949 Bennington
College, North Bennington, Vermont, advised that for
Dr. FROMM, who taught one day a week at the above college, she saw among
FROMM'S papers letters bearing the letterhead of the Socialist National Con-
mittee, and that ERICH FROMM'S name was listed as a member of that committee.
On February 1, 1942 EDWARD SIMMONS, Chief of Police, Tupper Lake,
New York, furnished a victrola record bearing the label with the print of two
hands, one grasping the wrist of the other, and which held a dagger with the
emblem of the Nazi Party on the blade. On this label also were the words,
tUnited Front". SIMMONS stated that this record was found by a
in a house which she had rented to Dr. FROMM of \i0 Central ‘ark,
