In order to determine if there was a fraud committed
by the previous owner of the automobile or by the auction in
New Jersey concerning the claim that the automobile belonged
to Elvis Presley, the following investigation was conducted:
Mr. of Basking Ridge, New Jersey,
one of the automobile's former owners, advised that he pur-
chased the Corvette approximately five years aco from a Newark,
New Jersey, car dealer for $3,000 cash. MMI indicated the
ear had been advertised in the New York ewspaper.

mission, nor did he install a signal-seeking radio in the car.
Both of these features were on the car prior to his puzchase.
GREED acvisea that he sold the automobile to
through the Kruse Auto Auction and provided the 1 nated
ocument showing that the vehicle previously was owned by Elvis
Presley to at the time of the sale.
