fascist campaigns atthe University of Rome

public pronouncements on American policy
foward anti-Hitler forces inside Germany,
leaders of the AFL and CIO will appeal
next week for material and moral hap to
the “widerground” German Inbor organiza-
tious,
The declarations will be made Tuesday
night by CIO President Philip’Mimray aud
Goorge My-Harrisun, vice-prctklet of the
American Federation of Labor amt head of
the Brotherhood of Railway Clerks. They
wil} speak here ut a dinner sponsored by
thé American Friends of German Freedom, |

the title: “Labor's Battle for a Democratic
Europe.”
The scasion is regarded as opening a labor
drive to establish direct American relations
with labor groupe inside Germany end the
occupied countries and to block povetble ne-
