What meantime? Here the problem is harder. There are obvious, weighty dangers in turning the bomb over to a security council without world government powers. But I believe the dangers are far less if we do than if we don't. Kight now, the international race is on. It is injuring United Nations solidarity. Russian statements, for example, minimizing the importance of the bomb, are a natural emanation of Russian dismay over exclusive Anglo-Saxon possession of a secret that could blot out whole nations, Would we feel di fferently 4f the bomb were in Russian hands, and we without it?
