This withdrawal was in protest to the Covmunist policies of SIONEY KATZ. In this connection it should be pointed out that the Maryland-District of Colwnbia Industrial Union Council is a separate antity from the Washington Industrial Union Council, nevertheless, there is a cennestion inasmuch as the affiliates of the Washington Industrial Union Council avtumatically become affiliates of the Mrryland-District of Columbia Inddstrial Acecc ding to Confidential Informant T-6 this particular Jocr2 has never been aciive in the Industrial Union Council emi FRANCESAGLOUDE, its president, Ja practically the only one who has ever put in an sppearance. Although this local witt(rew from the Maryland-Dietrict of Columhia IUc early ir March, according to Confidential Informant 6, GLOWD: attended the March veh nee ting of the Waet ington Industrial Union Council. Accc"ding to Confidential Informant T-7, thptafeteria— Vorkera of America; Local 471 of the UFWA bad the impression that GLOUDE*s union was endeavoring to enter into the cafeteria field.
