With reference to the Mrs. Roosevelt incident, we of
Hleourse never investigated this. It was investigated by CIC prior
to 1943. We do have a photostas of the G-2 file.

This informatton was given to George Burton by Colonel
Kibler and Colonel Jack Bissell. It is recorded in a blue memorandum

Both Wr. laid and I do recall there have been newspaper
articles linking Mrs. Roosevelt.
In 1949, Frank Waldrop of the Times Herald told me they
were on the trail of cert2zin recordin hat allegedly would show
an tllicit relationship Urs. Roosevelt. At that
time I made a thorough c ftles and there was nothing
in the main files. The pink memorandum has never been circulated in
the Bureau and is not known to anyone outside of Miss Lurg tn my
office, Mr. Tolson, Miss Gandy, and you. Mr. Ladd was informed of
my check this morning although he vaguely recalls when I was checking
on thts a year ago.
Marion Canty, who is Drew Pearson's secretary, left the
Bureau tn October, 1944. However, she would have no knowledge of
this as she had been in the Washington Field Office from 1937 to
