In her letter caren cstrar of the American
Legion of Ohio, Miss SEYGIO had the following to say about her ©
connection with the American Committee For Yugoslav Relief:
Mstablishei in 1945 under the President's War Relief
Contrel Board, and had for its stated purpose the raising of
funds to send medical and other such aid to the war stricken
population of Yugoslavia. I was merely one of scores of
national sponsors, atterding its money raising functions, at
one of which Mrs. BLEANOSAROCSIVELT was the principal speaker.
This organization had already notified its sponsors that it was
Jerallv concluding its work and disbanding, long before it
avnearcd on the Attorney Genersl's list. The Comittee, I
understand, te now out of existence." 7

The ‘Daily Worker", dated June 8, 1c, page 3,
column 5, announced that LisA S=RGIO, radic commentator, and
newspaper colunnist, would discuss recent highlights and
developments in the military and political picture in Italy
at a meeting of the jrd Assembly District Club of the American
Lator Party. According to the article, the meeting was to be
held June 2°, 104) at 313 8th Avenue, New York City, and would
present other progressive Italian-Arericans. ‘
The American Labor Party has been cited as a Communist
front by the Special Committee on Un-American Activities, March 2°,
American & ef For ‘Greek Democracy
, Confidential Informant T-°, of knoyn reliability,
on June 4, 1946, advised that the stationary of the American
Relief For Greer Democracy, 111 West 42nd Street, New York City,
carried the name of LISA SpRGIO as a sponsor.
