S. Supreme Court.in 1934 to banis the name of the communist party from our California ballot becau of its treasonable plafform, and lectured widely on that subdject I filed suit in 1933 against the privately-owned federal reserve banks to sgorge their unlawfully held gold tuzt into the Unite States easury; and Gf finally, through letters to the Presiden and lirs. Roosevelt (my personal acquaintance) and through dou page AOPEN LETTERS TO CCNGRESS" in my own magazine, copies of wh were Sent to every member of the Senate and the House, was enabl to get a resolution through Congress, signed by the President wi by Congress took title to all gold, gold coins, gold currencies and gold bullion which the reserve banks had taken away from the american people; ani this resuited in a saving of nearly THREE Billion Dollars of profit on this gold due to the increased pric of same. It was from this saving that Secretary Morganthau set u the Two-Billion*Dollars Stabalization Fund. I have a letter fron President Roosevelt in connection with this important matter, Signed by his honor. Ts Born in the State of Iowa, from whence came your worthy name-sake--Hon. Herbert Hoover, I have been active all of my lif in defense of our smerican ideals and our Constitutional form of Government. But that some corporate interests, having the greate "race-track" concessions on earth, whose oxes may have been gore should scream "stop thief" in ordér to cover up their own tracks is not to be wondered at. It is because of my unbroken record as an ardent supporte of our form of Government, and that sLCNE, and being interested NO foreign country, that I take this occasion to ask you to let me know what the motive was on the part of your department to look into a purported political vefore Kenly Which, so far as I know, was still-born many years before Yemly Harbor.
