GEER further advised that, since this is Highlander's tenth anniversary,
an effort is being made by the school to obtain national sponsors, and in
this connection letters have been written to many prominent political figures
in ‘iashington and throughout the country; that so far rrNK GRA, Mrs.
FRAG LG D. ROOSGVELT, and JaMES CaREY have given oral consent to have their
nancs used as sponsors for the school; that written consent has been obtained
fron ROVER B.LDVIN, President iLL of antioch College, GEORGE YAYHE
of Vanderbilt University, Dr. LILLL.N\JOHNSOW and CARRSE\McVILLIAUS.

HIGHLANDER FOLK SCHOOL AND THE SOUTHERN CONFERENCE FOR HULLAN WELFARE:
The Highlander Fling published by the Highlander Folk
Scheel at Nonteagle, Tennessee for June, 1312 contains an article which
states that at the third Conference fer Human Welfare held in Nashville,
Tennessee on April 19-21, 19L2, JALIES \DOMBROWSKI served as executive secretary
and has been given a leave of absence &nd will continue with the conference
throughout the year. The article further states that all of the school staff
took part inthe conference as pancl leaders, office workers or delegates;
that a large number of former students who were present at the conference as
delegates met with the staff for dinner. Following the conference, Sone
a forty friends visited Highlander Folk School, amagng whom were RALPH
ae TEFFERTELLER, CLARK/FOREMAN of Washington, ETHEL CLYDE and EDITH FIELD of
Now York, and several carloads of Black Mountain and University of Okxlahona
students. The present address of JAMES DOMBROYWSKI as obtained from C. H.
FULTS, Postnastcr at Monteagle, Tennessee, is Room 202, Presbyterian Building,
* Nashville, Tennessee. It is believed that this is the present headquarters
