—= mm = we ard “MOST ADMIRED WOMAN” Every year around Christmas-time, the Gallup Poll conducts an annual pop- vlarity centest, assigning reporters to put this auestion jo o tross-suction of the American public: “ What woman thet you have heard or read about, living today in any part of the world, do you admire the mosi?”’ Lest year, for the eleventh fime, Mrs. Eleoner Rooscveli was a shoo-in winncr. What does this prove? Just this: In o socicty where a pro-Com- munist otheist and criminal sex-pervert fike tho late Caryl Chessman con be built up into a great national hero and en infernational martyr through the powcr of the Communist-kept press, it proves only that it is possible to build vp almost anyone as a public idol. However, certain peculiar activities of Mrs. Roosevelt deserve a great deal mere publicity than they have hereto- fore receivar’. Time after time, she hos gene out of her way te endorse or to give assistance to known Communists. Tako the case of hor notecious cndorse- mwcnt of Alger Hiss, in her cotumn of August 16, 1948 “Smeoring gaod peo- ple like Alyer Hiss and touchlin Currie [both Soviet espionage agents) is, | think, unforgivable. ... Anyone know- Ing either Mr. Currie or Mr. Hiss, who are twe people whom I happen to knew fairly weil, would not need any @enia! on thais part to kiow thay aio not Communists, Their records prove it.” Eleanor Roosevelt is unmistakably the wheel-horse of the Democratic Porty. Without her aid, no aspirant to the Democratic Presidential nomination is supposed te stand o ghost of a chance. Her political moves pivot from a base centered within the organiza- tion known as Americans for Demo- eratic Action (ADA). She was one of the ADA‘s founders and is its henorary chairman and one of its supreme po- Hae voN 1 } fentates. Knowing her long munist record, it is inconceivable that any of the sycophantic Democratic Pres- idential aspirants currently custering @round this Queen Bee of the ADA could be unaware of thelr public re- sponsibiity to repudiate her endorse- ment. GUIDEUNES FOR ACTION 1. Write your Congressman and urge him to protest strongly against ony attempt to abolish the House Un-American Activities Committee (HUAC). 2. Hf you ore a Democrat, write to the Democratic National Committee and inform them that you wiii net vote for any Democratic Presidential Candidate whe does not cafegor- ically repudicte the endorsement of Eleanor Roosevelt. 3 Chollenge Eleanor Roosevelt's phony “prestige” ond her Red-generated publicity wherever it appears — os- pecially in the newspapers which publish her columns.
