You wili recall that by Ictter dated 5-61, Congressman Doyle made
reference to an alleged statement by Mrs. Eicanor Roosevelt that ''We are almost
finished with ‘he McCarthy era, but I think that féar of possible infiltration by
communism is prevalent. Personally, I've never had such a fear."* The Congressman
inquired "What about it? Inform me fully, please.“

already read the Director's book, "Ma-(ers of Deceit," bu. intends to study it further.

The Congressman also : ‘ated thai he represents part of the Los Angeles
District and there are about six or eigi! incorporated cities in his district. He said
4 that many of the school principals and chiefs of police are vitally interested in the
Directur's statements on communism, crimo,and juvenile delinquency and that he would
appreciate very much some literature tht he could forward to them. He was advised
that we would be very happy to supply him with euch material. The Congressman
requested from 25 to 30 copies of the 1: aterial which had been left with him. These
were: The Communist Menace, Comnunist Party, USA, Communist Dlusion and
Democratic Reality, the National Security Flyer and Expose of Soviet Espionage. He
