FEW PERJURY INDICTMENTS
On December 21, 1955, the United Stetes Department of Justice
announced that a District of Columbia Federal Grand Jury had indicated
HARRY SACHER and JOHN THOMAS COJACK "'on charger of contespt of Congress
in connection vith their refusals to answer questions concerning Comm-
nism." (See Department of Justice Presa Release, Wednesdey, December
21, 1955).

before the Senate Internal Security Subcommittee on April 19, 1955. fe
was specifically cited for refusing to answer questions regarding prosent .
or fast menbership in the Communist Party end membership in the “Levyere’

GOJACK, @ Fort Wayne, Indiens resident and General Vice-President
of the United Electrical, Radio and Mechine Workers of America and Prerident
of District Mo. 9 of the Union, was indicted on nine-counts in connection
with bis refusal to answer pertinent questions during sppearances Sefore the
House Committees On Un-American Activities on February 26 and March 1, 1955.
