BIOGRAPHICAL DATA Birth He was born on October 30, 1903, at Fargo, North Dakota, ‘the son of Edwin Fremont and Rizpah Sprogle Ladd. Marital Status d on June 15, 1925, at Washington, D. C., to No children were born to this union. Education b7? Oo He attended Fargo Public High School, Fargo, North Dakota, from 1917 to 1921 and was graduated in June, 1921. He was a student in the College of Arts and Sciences at George Washington University, Washington, D. C., from September, 1921, until June, 192, at which time he withdrew of his own accord. He entered the law school of this university in September, 192), and was awarded an LL.B. degree in June, 1928. Employment From 1921 to 1925 he was a clerk in the office of his father, Edwin Fremont Ladd, who was a Senator from the State of North Dakota at that time. During this time, for a period of about one year, he also acted as clerk for the Committee on Public Lands, United States Senate, of which his father was the chairman. He was employed as a subway car operator on the United States Senate subway, Washington, D.
