According to sources in the Seattle area, was formerly employed with Northwest Orient Airlines however, when airline employees went on strike, he was fturloughed and for that reason was having severe financial difficulties just prior to the hijacking incident. LEADS: MINNEAPOLIS DIVISION .- At Minneapolis, Minnesota Will determine if there was an employee strike just prior to 11/24/71 at Northwest Orient Airlines. Will contact appropriate officials of Northwest Orient Airlines to deter- mine, if, in fact was employed with their airlines and whether or not he was furloughed just prior to the hijacking.
