Co btatea he landed_in Seattle at approximately 5:30 P.M. on November 24, 1971. advised that it was his recollection that Northwest Orient Airlines Flight 305 landed at Seattle- Tacoma International Airport at approximately 5:32 P.M. on that same night. advises estimated time of departure was 6:10 P.M., but he actually left Seattle at about 7:09 P.M. to fly back to Portland, Oregon. During the flight down to Portland, |] he was flying into a headwind of about 60 knots. explained that on the way to Seattle from Portlan ground speed was 480 knots, but on the way back down to Portland his ground speed was only 420 knots. According to the wind apparently was shifting from approximately 160 to approximately 200 degrees.
