He stated e heard a low flying plane in the area and thougnt it to be a conmerical jet because of the loudness of the motors. ; He said on 11-25-1971 he returned to the woodsand left his home about 7:00am. He said he was about eight or nine miles from his home when he passed a white male wa]king on the highway, going westerly, meaning he was going down the mourtain highway. He pointed out he thought this to be strange as it was about 7:20am or about that time and this person was not dressed as one does in the woods. He said the man had on a red.or dark sweater, dark pants and no other clothing. Nothing on his head" and even thowsh it” was raining this pérsan did not have on any wet weather gear, He said he drove past and did not see any vehicle on the highway but stated there were roads, logging roads, off the main highway and he had nowy of knowing if tiis person had a disabled car off the main highway. He said he mentuoned this at the local tavern and was laughed at so he declined to notify the FBI or other authorities as his friends seemed to think nothing of his obser- vation.
